I came to Biola’s classes in search of an instructor who was warm, open & connected to their students. In Biola’s classes I have found that & more. When I walk into Thursday’s zen tea gentle class I know I can expect to be warmly welcomed by Biola, that she will have taken her recent life experiences and — with professionalism and care — woven them into a deeply healing practice. I am so happy to have found a studio space where I can relax into navigating, confronting and releasing my discomforts.
Yoga By Biola offers comprehensive yoga instruction infused with Biola’s passion for yoga & compassion for her students, which is evident from the individualized attention & support she offers throughout each class. I also appreciate the emphasis she places on building community through the practice of yoga. Highly recommended!
I love Biola’s classes! Her passion for yoga, movement, expression, self-inquiry and self-healing permeates her classes and is infectious. I enjoy the unique and interesting sequences she shares as well as the depth and compassion of her mindfulness teachings. Biola has taught me new ways of connecting with my body and mind and introduced to me new ways of integrating my personal strengths into my practice. So grateful!
I love going to Yoga By Biola. Biola has a keen & inventive sense of what movements a diverse curvy body needs in the pacific northwest climate as she seamlessly adapts routines based on check ins from her class members. Her deeply caring nature is emphatic in creating a physical & emotional language relevant to South Seattle, breaking the rule book on what a practice should look like in the way that truly honors the spiritual tradition. It is a truly special community healing experience.
I’ve loved Biola’s yoga classes since my first class with her. She really knows how to get your body moving, keep classes fun & make the perfect music choices for class. Her gentle classes are a treat as she enables her students to strengthen & restore in one setting. I’m excited for the community that Biola is fostering!
