Week 3: Balance Poses
Strengthens and Stretches: Legs, knees, hips, ankles, shoulders, abdomen and back.
How To Do It: Begin in warrior 3 with left foot rooted on the mat and right leg lifted. Place right hand on the mat, directly under right shoulder, and bring left hand to the sacrum. Keep eyes focused on one point on the mat and draw abs in. Rest here or for more challenge begin to lift left hand to the heavens with left palm facing forward. Breath here for 3 full rounds of breath then repeat on opposite side.
When To Do It: Throughout the day to improve focus and concentration. Incorporate this pose in the middle of your yoga practice after you've warmed up the core.
