Week 1: Yoga Basics
Strengthens and Stretches: Back, arms, shoulders hamstrings, calves, feet arches and hands.
How To Do It: Start on all fours in table top position. Tuck toes and lift hips to the heavens, pressing heels back and feet and hands into ground. Distribute weight equally through the hands, specifically through the knuckles, palm of hands and forefingers. Drop the head and neck long while pressing the heart towards the front of the thighs, folding the body creating a triangle shape. Breath here for three full rounds of breath.
When To Do It: Mid-day for an energy boost. Incorporate this pose throughout your yoga practice.
