Week 4: Strength Poses
Strength and Stretches: Legs, hamstrings, ankles, toes, abdomen, arms, shoulders and spine.
How To Do It: Begin on hands and knees. Place the forearms parallel to one another on the mat shoulder-distance apart. Root the palms into the mat as you tuck toes and lift hips high. Drop head and reach heart back through the arms, expanding the shoulder blades. Breath here for 3 full rounds of breath.
When To Do It: Early morning and at the office to open up the chest and heart chakra. Incorporate this pose in the beginning and middle of your yoga practice to open up the chest and warm up the shoulders.
